With a unique paranormal twist, Kate waves off the ugly image of flesh-eating-monsters, presenting them as ridiculously gorgeous Zhamvys at smoldering levels! The world-building is fantastically done, together with a shroud of mystery over the ruling castes of the city. I can easily imagine myself waking up among this ancient race! One tiny mistake sends Phoenix McKay somersaulting into the Zhamvy world and she becomes the ignorant party of a crazy science experiment… At her own risk.

I had a impossibly hard time deciding my team in this twisted love triangle because both boys are so lethally hot you’ll want some tissue to wipe the steam off your glasses! Demitri is the dark and mysterious one whom Phoenix slowly wears her way into his heart, and finds the boy underneath the robotic mask. An unexpected event forges a heart pounding connection between the two and you won’t trust to put them in the same room, it’s just… WOW

Yet Luka’s bright and electrifying appearance rivals Demitri’s icy demeanor, and a playful glint always sparks his eyes. He laughs and jokes with Phoenix but you’ll find that Luka’s secret background grants him an authority. While Phoenix struggles between the two boys, a power revolution brews ahead, and each of them have their own plans…

Now comes the million dollar question: Will Phoenix be the change to the Zhamvys?
